“Voevoda” tells about the life of Rumyana (Rumena) the voivode and about the difficult past of the people who dared to stand against the sultan's power in the Bulgarian Ottoman Empire. The film is inspired by a narrative by Nikolay Haytov, and in the image of the inspirational heroine are embodied the stories of other women – voivodes of the Revival period. Zornitsa Sofia traces facts from the biographies of Sirma, Kaymak Stoina, Rada and other cheerleaders through the image of Rumyana in her film.

"While Aya was sleeping" is the second feature film of director and screenwriter Tsvetodar Markov, also known by "HDSP: Small Predators Hunt." The movie began with the performance of Assen (Stefan Denolubov) in Shakespeare's play "Richard III", where he played the lead role for five years. At each performance, the actor takes his seven-year-old daughter, Aya, who while sleeping in the theater plays a real Shakespearean drama between good and evil in the theater.
