The campaign "Become a friend of Sliven" is gaining increasing popularity among tourists. The first winners of the campaign raffle will be announced on October 26th – Saint Dimitar’s day, when the official holiday of Sliven is celebrated.

Copies of touristic stamps have been received from the stamp collections of tourists who have visited all the touristic objects at the region – Regional Museum of History, “Hadji Dimitar” House Museum, “Slivenski Bit” House, “Twida” Antique Fortress, “Dimitar Dobrovich” Art Gallery, House "Mirkovich", "Sirak Skitnik" Hall, "Dobri Chintulov" House Museum, Museum of Textile Industry and Tourist Information Center of “Sinite Kamani” Nature Park, announced sliveninfo.com.

After October 26th, the campaign will restart, and those who have not yet collected all stamps will continue to participate until October 26, 2018.

The re-launch of the campaign annually, without a definite deadline, will allow more people to participate in it, to visit the cultural and historical landmarks of the city and to become friends of Sliven.

Mayor Stefan Radev announced the start of the campaign "Become a Friend of Sliven" in October 2016. The initiative is part of the activities implemented by the Municipality of Sliven for the development of tourism in the city and the region.

Its main goal is to increase the number of visitors of the cultural and historical landmarks in the city, to increase the income, to popularize the opportunities for cultural and historical tourism and to attract more tourists in Sliven. The stamp collecting cards are uniquely numbered and free of charge for tourists.
