A high-tech park could be constructed from some old mining works on the territory of the village of Divotino. This has been foreseen by a team, which have developed a detailed site development plan for the municipality of Pernik, which plan has been put forward at a public discussion. The proposal includes the terrain of nearly 139 hectares in the wild land to be re-cultivated which will create an opportunity to build a high-tech base with photovoltaic, wind generators, but also specialized production of components, elements and systems .
The detailed site development plan is in line with the region and is a key document for achieving sustainable development of the municipality. The team has generally preserved the settlements on the southern slopes of Vitosha Mountain which will develop mainly tourism. Near the larger villages where there is an interest in settling and development of production capacities, it is foreseen that part of the agricultural land could change its purpose. The plan includes future extensions of the cemetery parks around the villages. During the discussion of the plan prospects for development of each of the settlements in the municipality were presented and entrepreneurs have made concrete proposals on the basis of investment intentions.
