The world-famous project was launched in Varna. Our seaside capital has become one of the cities having the wall which is currently a global phenomenon. The project "Before I die …" – has started as an experiment, called "The Wall" because it is actually a wall where people leave their messages written on a chalkboard.
The “Before I die” project has been implemented in 76 countries around the world in 38 languages, and more than 2200 walls were filled with messages.
The project is James Reeves and Candy Chang’s idea, who were guided by a Stanford University study. The study is related to the verbalization of our desires and thoughts which acquire reflexivity that helps us to realize them. The same study shows and helps us to gain better clarity in recognizing the priorities in our lives.
The wall is multicultural and manages to unite human values. The most common messages are love, work, family, adventure, health, communication and spiritual guidance.
The project starts on the wall surrounding the "Trade House" and is part of the program "Varna – European Youth Capital 2017".
