The tulip is one of the most enduring symbols of the Netherlands and Amsterdam. The Tulip Festival in Amsterdam is a fact since 2015. The founder of the festival is the garden designer Saskia Albrecht and her ambition is to bring the tulip back to the streets of Amsterdam. Tulp Festival connects city districts, businesses, residents and visitors.
A tulip for every citizen of Amsterdam is the motto of Tulp Festival 2018, which once again will be brightening up the Amsterdam streets throughout the whole month of April. There are 85 different locations including EYE Filmmuseum, Hermitage Amsterdam, Hortus Botanicus, Museum Van Loon, Rijksmuseum and many public spaces throughout the city.
